Creating Your Calm Plan

Your Real-Life Calm Plan (Not the Pinterest Version)

Let’s Get Honest About “Plans”

I know what you’re thinking. “Great. Another plan I’ll fail at by Tuesday.”

I get it. I’ve made 47 perfect plans. Colour-coded. Laminated. Lasted three days max.

So this isn’t that. This is different.

Your Calm Plan is just picking the bits from this course that actually work for your actual life. Not the life you wish you had. The one where someone’s always ill, the washing machine breaks, and you haven’t slept properly since 2019.

Think of it as your “When Shit Hits Fan” toolkit:

  • One way to find calm(ish)
  • Routines that already exist (just tweaked)
  • Play that doesn’t feel like homework
  • Meltdown survival strategies
  • Your voice when you need it

That’s it. Real life. Real simple.

The Truth I Need You to Hear

Last week a mum said: “I use maybe 20% of my calm plan. Feel like I’m failing.”

I said: “20% more than before?”

“Yes.”

“Then you’re winning.”

She cried.

Your Plan Will:

  • Change as life changes
  • Work brilliantly sometimes
  • Fail spectacularly others
  • Need adjusting constantly
  • Always be there to return to

What Your Child Actually Needs:

Not a perfect parent with colour-coded calm plan.

Just you. Trying. Using one tool. Forgetting. Trying again.

That effort? That’s love in action.

That’s enough.

One Last Thing

In five years, you won’t remember if you did your calm plan perfectly on Tuesday.

You’ll remember:

  • The morning you breathed instead of yelling
  • The play session where you really connected
  • The meltdown you handled calmly
  • The time you advocated successfully
  • The moment they looked at you with trust

That’s what we’re building. Moment by moment.

Now pick your one breathing thing and start.

The rest will follow.
